Efficiency and Effectiveness for Tall Structures - Ed McMcCann
In keeping with the ICE Presidential Theme of Efficiency and Effectiveness in 2022, this talk highlights how the experiences of the high speed construction of the Eiffel Tower have provided insights into being more efficient and effective in modern day tall structures such as the Canton Tower.
This was the topic of the National Geographic programme, Big, Bigger, Biggest, which features Ed McCann speaking to the design and construction of the Eiffel Tower in 1887 to be ready for the World Fair of 1889.
